Nebraska Women of the ELCA

 

Make plans to be part of this weekend of listening, fellowship, and growth in faith during the biennial convention and gathering of the Nebraska Synodical Women’s Organization at Carol Joy Holling Conference & Retreat Center.

• †Workshops are being planned covering a wide range of topics to challenge, engage, and stretch us. Worship experiences will center our thoughts and prayers.

• Camp Carol Joy Holling will be providing a tour of the camp.†

• Friday evening will start with Bible study led by Nebraska Synod Bishop Scott Johnson.†

• Fellowship and networking times are scheduled and includes a Saturday evening with fun activities.

• As always, you will find Fair Trade products will be available for purchase.

The convention is the opportunity for all women in the synod and all units in Nebraska congregations to join in the business of the organization and participate in setting the vision and mission of the organization, elect women to the synodical board, elect women to be voting members to the Triennial Convention in 2026, and adopt a budget for the coming year.  The business meeting will take place Saturday morning.

Registration is now open. The form is available online at the Nebraska Synodical Women’s Organization website.

 

Registration, nomination, and resolutions forms were included in the August 2025 issue of Expressions.

 

All units are invited to send a voting member. Make sure your unit is represented!  Of course, more than one person can attend from each unit. Bring all your friends!

 

Take a moment, pray, and consider who you might nominate to serve our organization. Pray about serving as the voting member from your unit. Pray for those planning, preparing, and participating. Join us in September!
